Ava Trip!!!

Linda and I had been talking about this trip from the afternoon she was
born! NOW, we were on the way to see Ava Grace - our 1st grand child!!!
To say we were excited would have been a GROSS understatement! We
got more excited the closer we got! She stole our hearts immediately!
Ava is beautiful and Brook and Charlie had quickly adapted to their new
roles as Mom and Dad - and both are loving it! Little "Gracie" has us
all wrapped around her little fingers! Here are few images from the 1st
couple days of our visit - more to come!

Getting Close Now!!!!!!

eMail from Momma Brook yesterday.....

Just wanted to send you a quick email with an update on Ava. I went to the doctor this morning as well as had some tests done. I had a NST (non-stress test) and an ultrasound. They checked to make sure that Ava's heartbeat was increasing with movement as well as looked to see if there was still enough amniotic fluid. Both of which the doctor said looked good. The visit was good, well except for the part when she said she thought Ava would be a good 8lbs, maybe 8lbs 10oz!!!! Jeez, I am glad that is a guess. That is one big baby. Anyway, I made some progress... cervix is midline, over 1cm dilated, -1 station and 80% effaced. I had my membranes stripped today as suggested by the midwife to help intensify the contractions I am currently having and hopefully start labor....no fun.
The plan is that we will go to the hospital around 5pm tomorrow for admission given nothing happens tonight. They will give me something to ripen the cervix more and then Saturday morning they will start Pitocin.

Thats the update, just wanted to keep you and Linda up to date. Can't wait for her to get here!!! Looks like she might be a chunky one!
Love,
Brook

WE WILL BE GRANDPARENTS THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!

COME ON AVA GRACE!!!!!!

AWESOME!!!

AWESOME!
The image below is from an eSession that I shot with Jerry McGaghey!
Jerry is an INCREDIBLE local photographer that I met through my blog
and I have had the great fortune of working with him on several events.
Last night I worked a wedding with him and it was quickly obvious why
he is one of the most sought after wedding photographers in the area!
He always knows exactly what to do and when to do it. His passion for
what he does shows through his phenomenal work! He managed to keep
me on track and get a bundle of forever memories for the happy couple!
Jerry's bride, Mandy was there and it was easy to see that she was a
veteran too - she knew when to be where, got great shots and kept
both of us on track! I look forward working with Jerry and Mandy a lot
more in the future! They are a talented couple!

Check out Jerry's blog!

William F. Moores, Jr 1935 - 2008

Go Rest High On the Mountain Bill!

My brother Bill left this world early this morning after
several years of suffering... His family was there to
wish him well as he went to his reward in heaven..

If you could see me now!

I'm walking Streets of gold!

If you could see me now!

I'm standing tall and whole!

If you could see me now!

You would know that the pain has been erased!

If you could see me now!

You would know that I have seen HIS FACE!!!!

If you could see me now!

You wouldn't ever want me to leave this place!

eSession

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of working with 1 of my long-time favorite
local photographers - Jerry McGaghey! I found his blog several years ago
and started following his adventures as he grew into a much sought after
wedding photographer! It is always great to watch someone that knows what
he is doing and that is what I was doing at Jerry's eSession for Mike and Alicia
in St. Petersburg. He always knew where the best light and backgrounds were
as we toured downtown St. Pete - I had a great time and learned a lot!!! Check
out Jerry's Blog and see the incredible work he does and he will soon have
up a slideshow of this eSession! You can also find some of the awesome images
he has gotten at the Yankees games!

Pass-A-Grille House

The southern end of the beaches along the Gulf in St. Petersburg
is an awesome place called Pass-A-Grille! I grew up playing and
fishing here - we used to play King on the Dock instead of King
on the mountain - tons of FUN! This is one of the houses on the
intercoastal side... I'm still drawn to this small piece of land like
it has a big magnet....

Scottish Wedding!

Last Friday I had the privilege of sharing in
the special day of Dylan and Tina Hardison! It
was a beautiful day and the wedding was set in
a gorgeous park. There were kilts and bagpipes
and LOTS of love! My best to this very special
young couple!

Quick visit and a new car!

Capt Charles was in town last week for briefings
at SOCOM at MacDill AFB. He said it was like meeting
the wizards behind the curtain.... We only saw him
for a few hours on Thursday evening and then he hopped
a plane for Louisville to meet Brook at her parents
house. TODAY he finally bought the car he has been
wanting to buy since turning Capt almost 2 years ago...
He bought a 2005 BMW 545i and he is estatic!!!
Pictures to follow....

St Petersburg Yacht Club

I went to St Petersburg early one morning to
shoot the sunrise at the pier... I love these
moments before and as the sun rises as you
never know what you will see.. The air is
fresh and the birds start their movement as
the sun makes its appearance - magical! I
stopped by the Yacht Club as I left and
got this shot....

I was asked to re-post this by a friend...
