Cades Cove Cabin

I always long to be in the mountains this time of year (and most
other times too). This image was from our visit last May to the
Smokey Mountain National Park. It is an absolutely GORGEOUS
place! This cabin was one of the 1st settlers in the area....

YES - I've been here many times.
A trip to the Smokies wouldn't be the same if I didn't go to Cade's Cove and enjoy the scenery and look for bears! Yes, I've seen them on three ocassions.

I don't know how you happened by my blog today but I appreciate your visit. The chairs are here everywhere. The local pharmacy, Wal-mart, and grocery store have them.
These weren't actually mine. I took the photo outside the warehouse end of a business building this past Sunday.

What a beautiful nature shot. I'd love to spend a weekend in this setting away from the hustle and bustle of city life...one day.

Jerry,

Thanks for your visits to my blog and comments.

It is always good to hear from another 40D owner. I really liked mine until this problem occurred and I expect it to give good service when it gets back from repair. I used the 10D from 2003 until October 2007 and never had one problem with it. Salty of Country Captures, who is my brother uses a 30D as does a good friend. I felt this would make an excellent backup camera. No need to have two of the same model and I definitely don't want to spend the money on a high end Canon!

I went to Cades Cove each autumn from 2001 until 2005 and I love that place. You have captured the John Oliver cabin extremely well.
I like your blog and will be back frequently.

Also congratulations on the photo that was published.
